PUBLICITY

The Living Room Theatre of Salado (LRTS) is a nonprofit arts organization which produces the Judy & A. C. Greene Festival each year as well as 3 or 4 shows based on short stories, playscripts, etc., for small audiences in homes and public places utilizing professional and amateur actors.

LRTS produces adaptations of short stories by A. C. Greene, as well as works by published and unpublished Texans like Horton Foote, Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey, Liz Silverthorne, Mike Boren, et. al.

LRTS shows are chosen for relevance to contemporary life, performance values, authors' and performers' capabilities, and physical limitations. Most often, the works are authored by local and regional writers who have lived in Texas or written about Texas.

Performances are scheduled on weekday and weekend evenings, usually beginning early at 7pm, lasting an hour, more or less. Subscribers are notified by mail one week in advance of public announcements regarding show titles, and dates and places for each show.

Hosts are individuals who volunteer the use of their homes or public places for performances, accommodating approximately 20 to 50 guests for each show.

Guests are individuals who indicate on a first come - first served basis that they wish to attend LRTS events, contributing $5 per person for each performance. Subscribers contribute an additional $5 per address to defray costs of mailing and printing.
